Hey Skyblueboston,

What travel system are you buying ?

I am not certain if I would buy a cot bed - but I surely want to take a cute little Moses basket - as I found them incredibly cute. Apart from that I think I would take a travel-bed/cot which can be folded and can go with me and the little one for all the tours we have planned :)

I cant remember the name of it, but it has a car seat, Moses carrier and buggy till 3 years old all for £219, plus it has amazing feedback from other mums.

I'm getting a cot bed, coz this one start as a cot, two heights etc then turns into a cute bed when they grow up!

Kiddicare have lots of travel cots and they have massive discounts on them

How many weeks are u now?

Hi all,

Good to hear you are finding lots of gems!

If you want to find some more bargains on baby items - particularly clothes, toys, books, etc - it might be fun to keep your eye out for your local NCT Nearly New Sale. Our volunteers organise the sales across the country so there is bound to be one near you. They run from Late Feb - early December, have a look for your next local sale at nct.org.uk/branches/events/...

Hope you find what you're looking for.

Best wishes,

Alice x

Shop around too. We saved loads at mothercare on a bedroom furniture set (about half the cost of the full price set) and at the mamas and papas outlet store, we spotted the travel system we wanted that doesn't usually go into the outlet store due to its popularity, bought it and saved ourselves about £400 on that too. So the 2 most expensive and big bits we needed we got for around half price!

There are loads of sales on at the moment, we got some gorgeous unisex babygros for a fiver each from one site!

I got a lot of things donated from my sister in law, but I found I always needed more stuff. My little boy is 8 months old and the house seems to have been taken over by his stuff! I'm not complaining though, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Ebay seem to be quite good for cheap things, Amazon too, I've also found a few things on freecycle. Sounds like you're doing alright with your bargains tho! I might check that kiddecare site out.

Rachel.

Hi, I'm only 13 weeks therefore me and my husband have decided to wait before we purchase any baby items however morrisons has a huge sale on they're baby range... Changing mats £2 and baby baths and seats £3 and car seats and High chairs. I'm not sure if they do cots and stuff but I'd check online.

Hope it helps :)
