Lanolin! Or products containing it Not sure if that's how it's spelt but it's something like that. They do nipple cream ( mothercare / boots ect ) when I breastfed after a day or 2 my nipples were sore, cracked and bleeding, a friend who had attempted breastfeeding brought me some cream and the relief was almost instant .

I'm just worried cuz they're really dry now but I'm planning on trying to breast feed and I know they will probably get worse, I will have a look though thanks :)

U used this when feeding, it's safe for baby. My son always had a shiny super super soft face. As I said after a couple of days of feeding mine were literally red raw and bleeding and it sorted them out whilst I continued to feed but ended up stopping at 8 weeks as he was such a hungry baby. It's not cheap around about £10 for 50ml , defiantly would recommend. The 1 I used was in a light purple tube and called something like lansino, I think this was a brand but mothercare and boots do there own version I think.

My friend swears by Lansinoh Cream.

I've already bought some in preparation for when my bubba is born!

Hi,

when you will breastfeed you could also try to massage your nipples with your own milk. It worked for me for my first son, they were a bit cracked and they healed without any cream, as advised here:

both creams advised here are excellent in my experience. Had both when i breatstfed. Make most of your maternity exemption and go to your docs as neither are cheap! good luck!
