Any advice on wat to use for sore nipples?
This is good stuff! amazon.co.uk/Lansinoh-HPA-L...
I agree with the 1st reply from Rachgibson my LO is now 4 and a half months old so i don't use as much now but in the beginning i was religiously using this Lansinoh gel before every feed.
xx
Thanks
Ditto, thats great stuff....wear breast pads when using as does discolour clothing. I used a whole tube before my nipples got used to breast feeding X
I also found Lansinoh great, and don't need to clean off before feeds, can also try your own milk and waiting a wee minute when at home before covering up so they can dry from him feeding.
Lansinoh is an absolute god send! Miracle cream! My MW advised rubbing a little milk on after a feed them putting a little layer of cream on top. Then letting it dry with your nipple exposed (obv I did this at home, not in public!) That way it can really get to work before the next feed and reduces the amount that comes off during a feed
I'm going to use nipple shields as my friend recommended them. This will be the 5th baby I've bf and I've used the lansinoh ointment which is very good too. The best shields are the medela ones x
You put them on while breastfeeding x
The paediatrician recommended not covering my nipples when at home, so I spent a lot of time walking around with a shirt on but not done up and sleeping on a towel with no top on (although leaking during the night meant the towel was quite wet sometimes). I completely agree with the other ladies and have just invested in some Lansinoh for number 2 who should be arriving any day! I would say use nipple shields with caution, but if you are really struggling they have a purpose.
Vaseline - pure petroleum jelly original...... Also speak to ur midwife...
Lansinoh is great only need a small ammount and no need to take off before feeding too x
