You can use clear blue digital pregnancy test, which is the most accurate according to research, it is expensive but well worth it as it can estimate for you how many weeks you are. Then after that you need to register with a GP/ Doctor who will refer you onto the midwives to monitor progress and development of your baby. If you need more information please ask. All the best : )

Hi If your defiantly pregnant (do a pregnancy test and ensure its positive) - Clear blue lets you know approx how far along you are, its very unlikely a pregnancy hormone will show on a test earlier than 3 week due the the level or pregnancy hormone you have in your body and on some people it can be higher, I found out I was pregnant for the second time just last week after doing 2 negative pregnancy tests just 1 and 2 weeks prior, It makes sense that the test showed negative as I would only have been 3 and 4 works then I am 5 weeks now.

Once a test shows your a pregnant you should see a doctor just to inform them your are pregnant and they can then give you a supplement called folic acid which is needed everyday in your first 12 weeks or pregnancy, they will also book you in with a midwife around you approx 8 week mark. if everything's alright you can expect your first scan around 12 weeks although earlier scans can be necessary if you show any pain or bleeding problems.

Don't worry to much if you get a little cramp this is normal but any more sever pains arise you need to see a doctor.

Hope this helps -- good luck :-)

Thats why they do a dating scan around 12weeks so you can get a proper due date. I am also 5weeks pregnant. But if you use the first day of your last period you can get a estimated due date x

Hi Haydifarshad, if you are here as a visitor and you have got pains in your stomach and they are severe then I can only suggest going to the local a&e department at the hospital as the local GP will not register you if you do not currently live in the UK. The a&e department may be able to let you have an early dating scan if you are more than 6 weeks. Do you know that first date of your last period?

Yes it's normal to have a little bit of pain especially in the early months. Try not to worry :-) I hope you get help and support from your GP once you register. X
