Im in the same situation hun! All you can do is try and keep as calm as possible, eat well and try and focus on the positives :). Do you work? Try and keep yourself busy so the time will go quicker. Im trying to accept that if its going to happen then I cant stop it, but im so acared. I feel so out of control! But im 5 weow, and feeling sick, weeing a lot more, getting headaches, constipated, light headed..... All things I didnt feel last time. are you getting any symptoms yet? If you are, try and see each one as a positive thing :). You'll get through the next few weeks and feel alot more relaxed :) hope this helps hun xxx

I know early pregnancy is scary, particularly following a miscarriage. But do try to relax. Eat well, drink well, rest when you can. The rest is out of your control :)

So relax, find effective distractions, and do your best to enjoy your pregnancy.

I wish you both all the best!

Take care

I know how you feel I had a miscarrage at 19 weeks earlier this year. I'm now 10 weeks and get through each day by keeping busy and not thinking too far ahead. I also try to stay positive and remember that this pregnancy if different to the last.

Best wishes to you all xx

Hi Tigger888, It is perfectly normal to feel worried, paranoid, scared, happy, elated, emotional and a number of other conflicting emotions! I have lost two beautiful babies at 17 weeks in the last 18 months. I am now 21 weeks pregnant. I became obsessed by going to the loo and checking for blood during the first 12 weeks, then worrying about every little pain thinking it was happening again. But the other ladies are right - you need to try to relax as the additional stress you put yourself under won't help. Also do go and see you GP and ask to be referred to the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit. They will do a scan from about 6 -7 weeks, -dependent upon how much additional padding you carry. It is likely to be a vaginal scan as at such an early stage a normal scan wouldn't pick up your little one, but the vaginal scan would be able to detect a heart beat. This might give you some peace of mind whilst waiting to see a midwife.
