Anyone else had a bad experience in getting a elective caesarean but still got one in the end?

I'm not sure what you mean by getting a bad experience...not getting the Obstetrician to agree to it? If there is no medical need for Cesarean why would you want one?? It is high risk, painful and has a long recovery time. It also affects your future birthing management. I suggest you ask to speak to a Senior Midwife/Consultant Midwife to counsel you about weighing up the risks.

You are always entitled to ask for a 2nd opinion from another Doctor.

Hope this helps
