Birthing Plan

Hi,

Alongside my hospital bag prep I’m also putting together my birthing plan.

I wondered if anyone had any good points for me to put on the plan to consider, topics etc. or things they found really good to have on their plan, or wished in retrospect that they had included.

Thanks so much in advance!

my advice would be to be really fluid & not over plan, things can change very quickly during labour so just be clued up on all eventualities so you can make an informed decision if needed x I didn’t have a plan I just went with the flow & would do the exact same thing again 🫶🏼 lots of love & luck x

Thanks so much and that’s great advice, I’ve heard this from a few people who felt they had been too set on one route and then very disappointed, so I’m going to go in very open minded but hopefully a little clued up or prepared for each possibility xxxx

I found it useful to have preferences based on different birth types - eg if I end up having an unplanned c section I would like these things, if I have a water birth I would like xyz. This way I found like I still had an element of the birth I wanted even though it wasn’t the original plan :)
