‘12 week scan’

I’m 12 weeks and I’ve not heard anything about a scan yet, is that normal? The anxiety of waiting is getting worse, I just want to know that everything is ok!!

You would expect to hear by now. Speak to your assigned community midwife who can point you in the right direction to chase things up

Yes I have done that, but they’re not very helpful. They just say I’m on the waiting list, but I have no idea how long I’ll be waiting.

Ah well as long as you’re on the waiting list, that’s the main thing.

You can always pay for a private scan elsewhere to ease your worries

Yes I did think that, but it would be typical that I’d pay to go private and then get an NHS appointment haha.

you need to have the 12 week scan before 13 weeks or they can’t do the NP test so I would be phoning the midwife constant, they should have booked this for you ahead of your 10 week booking appointment! Keep pestering them 😢
