Hey, This will be her 9th weigh in now since she arrived 8 weeks ago !
She cluster feeds except when we are busy and out and about so I’m having to stay in more too to allow her to feed on me all day. I love feeding her myself but I think it’s time to incorporate formula , maybe she will be satisfied quicker and for longer if I do. Don’t want breastfeeding to become a chore.

I had to start combi-feeding when my son was very little as he was a very hungry baby. Even so, we ended up being referred to the dietician at the hospital as he needed to gain weight. If you need to supplement your baby’s diet, then do whatever is best for both of you.
I found switching out a breastfed for a formula feed worked best for us instead of giving top ups. I managed to combi feed for just over a year. My husband would give the formula feed at bedtime and I would go to bed while he did that and then he'd bring baby up to bed when she gone to sleep. Sometimes I'd get ac really good chunk if sleep that way until she woke up to feed from me. After about 12 weeks breastfeeding really settled down and the feeds became a bit easier, but knowing that baby was happy with boob and bottle took so much stress off me.
This is very helpful!! I like the idea of being able to get the first bit of sleep while husband can have 1to1 downstairs with her. And that way the 1st feed of the night will probably be quicker as our milk is the best between 2-4 so if the formula bottle was given from him about 10 that should take us to 1/2 were she will get a good fill off me. I’m going to trial this tonight. Amazing Thankyou 🥰
