Hello. I have recently signed up to become a member, I am not on any other social media.

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this but every time I search my local area there aren’t any new ‘meet up’s or local groups.

I am currently 36 weeks expecting our second child, looking to meet new friends who are local and are expecting a baby or similar age.

I’ll look forward to hearing from you

Emily xx

hi 👋🏼 this page is great for tips if you have a specific question on your little one. You might want to also try the peanut app of you are looking for local meet ups. it links you to other parents near to you with babies similar in age and puts you in a group with other mums who have had babies in the same month as you which helps as people are usually asking the same things as you around the same stage. I also found going to a local baby class so helpful amdni have actually made friends for life there! Hope that helps xx

I will download the app now, thanks so much! Everyone keeps saying to find people on Facebook but I don’t want to be on Facebook and was sure of another way to meet new friends. Thank you! Xx

yeah the app is good because you don’t put your full name in amd only connect with people if you want too! Xx

I met some new mums when I went to a baby sensory class

If you Google baby sensory, molly music, waterbabaies, heartbeaps, etc. You'll find groups that you can pay to go to and do activities with baby and meet new mums, this is quite good as often you'll be with babies if similar ages ago it's designed for your babies age group.

If you have a look at some of your Local churches some of those have baby and toddler groups weekly, I found these very friendly but the age range of the children varied a lot and not everything was suitable for very young babies. You did get to have a chat and a cup of coffee though and people were often happy to hold baby while you were able to finish a drink while it was still hot.

There is also the peanut app, I've not used it myself but it's meant to be good for meeting new friends. Good luck x
