You're probably best to speak to your midwives about your concerns, they will have to check for tears after birth because these might need attention. You also might have to have other intervention during your birth so it's worth discussing with them what they this is best. Maybe plan an epidural early on in your labour or even opt for a planned C section. They'll be able to talk you through all your options properly. Good luck x

Yes I think you talk to your mid wife about your concens before hand and ask them to take it easy with you. There are also over the counter stuff that clears up piles or they just go away after a week or two. I had them around 20-something weeks. Very uncomfortable, I know.

I think if you had a tear, its best to let them have a look. Because the last thing you want it to be sh*tting through your vagina for the rest of your days because there was a tear that they didn't sort out.

The midwife’s will check for tears, I doubt you’ll be bothered once the baby comes out. I had them with my first and current, 2nd degree tear with the first and manual placenta removal as it wouldn’t come away. Easy to say but I really wouldn’t worry, every care will go out the window. If your not still floating from the pain relief they can give you some more if you want it whilst they check.

It's normal procedure..It's for your health...you shouldn't be scared..I think pregnant women should be checked more and often

Yeah they'll still check for tears - I suffered pretty badly through my pregnancy and still there when i gave birth. I got a few stitches for a second degree year and they also actually gave me pain relief via a suppository. I apologised profusely but the midwife really didn't bother at all, they've seen it all before on a very regular basis. But yes, worth speaking to the midwife if worried but they really won't make a deal of it x
