Washing new bedding and clothes

Hi. Can anyone tell me are you supposed to wash the covers of a new boses basket? I've heard you're supposed to wash all clothing.

Hi, we washed anything that directly comes into contact with skin just to be on the safe side.

With my first baby I washed everything, by the 3rd I just washed what had been stored in the loft or handed down 🙈😆

Some retailers add softeners to fabric to make them more appealing, so you’ll probably want to wash that off in case it’s an irritant to a newborn x

So would I wash my babies stuff in plain water only for the first wash?

I use Fairy sensitive conditioner …. But my mother in law was a health visitor and she keeps telling me not to use conditioner on the baby stuff. I don’t like being told what to do 😂

😆 I get you. I guess if you're doing it and it's not harming your baby then it's ok right.
