Do I need to wash Moses Basket Bedding before first use?

My friend has been telling me I need to wash everything my baby comes into contact with but I'm not so sure. I've washed his clothes, with the exception of coats and shoes. Do I need to wash his Moses bedding also? Thanks

I washed my Lil one's bedding ( including the moses basket bedding) yes.

It probably wouldn't of made any difference whatsoever but I personally love the smell of the non bio detergent on everything.

I washed anything he would wear and all bedding and blankets before he used them. Being a little newbie, I wanted to be sure everything he had close to his skin was clean and fresh x

I was a washer too. I've no idea if it's necessary or not but I hated the idea of any dust or residue being left on the bedding from the factory or anything irritating baby's skin so I washed the lot. That was probably down to being full of nesting hormones too! X
