Is aromatherapy safe during first trimester

Hello! I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant and wondered if there are any scents I should be avoiding? I love a scented candle, bath oils, pillow spray etc but have been too nervous to use any of them in case it’s not safe. Thank you!

There are ones you should avoid but if you just Google aromatherapy in pregnancy, that's lots of pages with Information on what you can and can't use.

Thank you. I’ve done lots of googling about this but there seem to be conflicting opinions eg some say lavender is fine, others say to avoid it. Very confused!

I was told that lavender oil was not recommended during the first semester but it is rather used when you are in labour…. Coconut oil is safe and used it during my whole pregnancy:)Hope you will find what you are looking for
