I decided to test again. Is their a reason the negative line is so dark? It’s actually darker in person.

That's the control line, it shows that the test is not faulty. Its always this colour on this type of test.

When tests are negative almost all of the dye will go into the control line which is why it’s dark looking. When tests are positive for a higher level of hcg the test line can be a lot darker than the control line as most of the dye goes there. Hope that helps.
