Hey there, I opted for a VBAC after a C-section with my first. The VBAC was successful in that my son was delivered naturally with just gas and air although there were some negatives. Overall I still feel happy that I chose a VBAC.

Thanks for sharing your experience with me. My last kid was a c-section and I really can’t afford a major surgery like that again. Recovery was way too much.

It’s so hard to predict what will happen isn’t it. In theory my VBAC should have been trouble free but it wasn’t,For me my C-section recovery was far easier then VBAC but it’s just impossible to say!

I think you just have to go without whatever you feel most comfortable with along with being guided by the medical professionals. Good luck!!!

With my 5th baby i had to have a elective c section with my other 4 being all vaginal delivery.s because he was breech with legs extended. Due to parity I wasn't allowed a breech vaginal Birth . C section was a hard recovery mentally and physically so when I had my 6th baby I said straight away I wanted a vbac the consultant said I could have a vbac providing everything goes okay and baby grows well but at 28 weeks my baby was breech and stayed that way for abit at 32 weeks the consultant wanted to book me In for another c section at 38 weeks but I declined as I wanted to c if he would turn as I was sure he would turn and he did he wud turn one month and then go back breech at my midwife appointment at 37 weeks he was still breech and a few days later at the growth scan he had turn back around and was measuring on the small side so so consultant wanted to induce me the weekend so I agreed I had been told they could not induce me before hand because of my c section snd the scar could open but i was reassured it would be a slow and steady process and c how my body progresses with the labour and we had a pessary and it put my body into labour but not enough so they started me on a drip to get contractions within 4 hours I went from 4 to 10 cetermeteres like I did with my other labour's and my son was born with just gas and air . I was scared as the consultant kept coming in the room and my sons heart rate kept going off the machine when he was moving down into the birth canal and their was a few times I thiugjt they were gonna wheel me down but my midwifes knew this was my 6th baby and had laboured before so she shouted at the consultant and said this baby is coming as she could c my body wanted to push so as we had to get this little one out they told me just to go with my body and push and thats what I did I could not stop it the urge was terrible and with alot of screaming and 5 pushes he literally flew out I had never felt so relieved to hear him cry and all was well. A very successful vbac and all the midwifes all praised me for the vbac . They were all amazing during my labour I was allowed on the ball most of.it but had to come off as every contraction came it was hard to find his heart beat so I had to remain onnthe bed for the last hour of it . We had music on and one midwife even gave me a back massage . My advice is if u really want a vbac don't let them stop u its ur birth ur choice I wasn't properly informed with my breech delivery in 2016 and was told it was the safest option but wasn't given the choice a c section I's no way the easy option it's tough but not bad thing . It depends on ur medical history and how long of a gap between c section mine was 4 years since my c section and vbac also any complications with u or baby of course but u can still opt for a vbac they can be just as safe as a c section . The original plan was to only allow me a vbac if I went into spontaneous labour myself but it soon change when my son turned back round and he measured smaller than before so they wanted to get him out . Just do what makes u happy listen to what the professionals say but y don't always have to go along with what they want it's ur body and ur baby 😊

Thanks for sharing your experience with me. I’m happy to announce I had a wonderful VBAC experience! I refused the C-section and epidural. After laboring mostly on the ball and some intense contractions, I had an urge to push. Out came baby girl ! My body did exactly what it was suppose to do. Praise God.
