First period after birth…

So I had my little boy on 1st August and had the usual bleeding up until 6 weeks, I had just under a 2 week break and then got my first period - I have been bleeding for 2 weeks. Is this normal for a first period?! TIA xo

It could still be your bleeding from birth, if you're breastfeeding you might not have a proper period till after weaning. Mine didn't come back till my daughters first birthday. If you're worried maybe speak to your GP as if it is your period two weeks does seem a long time.

I got my period back at 6 weeks with both of mine. I also breastfed them both. It varies massively for everyone. If you’re worried contact then GP just to check. Hope everything is going well with you and baby.
