Controlling weight in pregnancy
Its not easy especially being at home. Exercise is great and has great benefits all around, but to actually help it control weight, or lose weight you need to be doing a heck of a load of exercise. Trying not to gain weight, comes down to diet. Look at what extra bits you can cut out, the sugary high calorie stuff, and jist eat sensibly. I wouldn't be aiming to lose weight in pregnancy, more about maintaining,.
I work from home all of the time also so know what you mean. I try to walk after dinner (15-30 mins) and then on weekends go out for 1h walk every day. It's not major exercise but it is easy to do when pregnant! There are also things like free yoga videos on youtube (including pregnancy ones). As roxanna says, I don't think losing weight in pregnancy is a good idea unless you have been specifically told to, so just try to limit any personal weight gain by eating/snacking as sensibly as you can and getting out and about where possible. I'm sure I have put weight on being pregnant (19 weeks right now) simply due to the morning sickness, as I have been drinking ginger beer and snacking regularly to try to control it, when usually I never snack and only drink water. Nausea has a lot to answer for!! xx
I was bigger pre pregnancy with 1&2 I gained very little during them pregnancies 14lb & 8lb but my last pregnancy I was at least 3 stone lighter pre pregnancy and I gained 3&1/2 stone I tried not to overly eat then had gestational diabetes at 34w so had to change my diet I was super good. Just try to eat healthy I think that’s more important.
