I lost my mucus plug this morning and my waters broke about an hour ago but no real contractions yet... it’s 1am, right on 40 weeks today, do I go to hospital now or wait for contractions??

Have u called them to speak with them I would do that first as your waters have gone. They may say u do not need to come in till contraction closer together.

But as I don't know any medical history that would def be first point of call, even if its just for contact and guidance

Oh and good luck and congrats. Very exciting times

How are you getting on?

Congratulations! My waters broke before any contractions and they induced me within 24 hours as baby is at risk of infection once the amniotic fluid has gone. Hopefully your labour starts naturally as the induction process is one hell of a ride! But totally worth it! Good luck and let us know how you get on! Xx
