I came off my pill last year after I got married and one minute I had a period the next I wouldn’t. This year (2021) I had a period from January to April all on time seemed like I was back to normal. Then May happens and I missed my period, took a test and it was negative and we are now nearly at the end of June and still nothing.
Anyone had this before ? When should I worried and maybe get in contact with the doctors ?
Thank you xx

Couldn’t hurt to give your gp call this week and see what they say if your irregular. It might just take a while for your body to get back to normal depending on how long you’ve been taking contraception for, but I’d definitely speak to someone x
I would suggest you ask your GP for some tests. It might be nothing, periods can go through variations, but you’d want to double-check it’s not polycystic ovary syndrome as I know that can make periods quite irregular. Perhaps a good idea to also check your thyroid and a general check up that you are not anaemic or underweight or anything like that. You might also want to ask them for a referral for an ultrasound just to make sure everything looks ok.
Sometimes GPs can be dismissive about period problems but you should persevere if that’s the case. The earlier you know of anything that might be a problem the better for treatment or at least to get some peace of mind that it’s all ok!
