Hi so my girlfriend took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came negative until today she went me this, does the faint blue line mean it’s positive? Should she take another test?

It depends.

It could be an evaporation line if she waited to check the test more than the recommended number of minutes. Negative tests sometimes develop a line after 10min or more.

If she is taking this test too early, before a missed period, it could be that yesterday’s test was a false negative. That means that it was too early for the test to detect that she is actually pregnant.

Another test is probably a good idea but she should check the result within the time limit in the instructions and that it is not too early to test yet.

If this is the same test as yesterday but its developed a line, it's an evaporation line.If it's new test, it could be a faint positive but it does look more like an evaporation line to me as theres no colour to the line when you'd expect it to be blue.

In the Clearblue test, it does not matter how 'faint' is the second line (i.e. the vertical one). If there is a vertical line at all, it means that it is positive.

Unless of course it’s not been read within the specified timescales. Evaporation lines can appear much later appearing to give a positive when it’s not.

Clearblue are terrible for evap lines.
