Hello, I got accepted for the 2yr free funding and my little one starts in September. But on the form it says September - December 2021. Do I have to reapply in December or will it carry on until she's 3 for me to apply for the free funding at 3? It's so confusing. Thank you

Once you get the 2 year funding it carry’s on and you don’t have to do anything. You won’t need to apply for the funding at 3 either unless your going to be using the extended hour making it 30 instead of 15hours x

You have to reconfirm your info every three months

There should be a section in your childcare account that says something like “I’m new to the childcare service, what do I do now”

They make you reconfirm all free childcare and tax free childcare every three months from when it starts to ensure it’s being claimed correctly

Not with the 2 year funding you don’t. Only the extended hours for 3-4 year olds x

Fair enough, I thought you had to confirm every three months regardless of age x

No hun. Extended 3-4 year funding is awarded based on your employment status so it’s checked regularly, but the 2 year is awarded based on a different set of criteria so once you’ve got it that’s it x
