AF late, brown discharge...

Hello All,

Can anyone offer some advice please...

I did AI (artificial insemination) when I ovulated last month in between IVF cycles. My period is always regular, 28-30 days but it is now three days late and for the last four days, I have had a light brown discharge when I wipe in the evenings. I have taken a couple of pregnancy tests and they are showing as negative, so I am confused about what it could be. I have no other symptoms but I’m very thirsty.

Has this happened to anyone else before?

Also, could it be due to stress?

Stress and illness can cause disruption in your periods, so if your period is late and you're getting negative test results they're normally pretty accurate.If you've still not come on in a few days maybe test again or speak to someone on your fertility team. Could the IVF drugs maybe have affected your cycle in SOME way?

I’ve had a normal period since I have been on them. I think it is stress so I’ll keep monitoring it. Thanks for responding x

Hey, I was still getting negative strips and so I went for a blood test and it has come back positive - in shock!
