Have been soo excited to find out what we are having so booked myself a private 16weeks gender scan which revealed we are having a boy 🥰💙
My partner said something silly about what if it’s the cord and not him flashing us?! I have my 20week hospital scan in 3 weeks time so will have to double check with them too.
Does anybody have any boy scans to share and compare 🤦🏼♀️🤣 TIA

Girles have three small white lines...thats how the difference is known to the person carrying out the scan ☺️

We have two girls, 3 and 1, and a newborn boy. We didn't find out with the first but did with the other two so have had both gender scans explained to us. Yours looks very decisively a boy 👍🏻. They can very easily distinguish between the cord and a winky - not only are they in different places, different shapes eyc but the sonographer monitors the blood flow through the cord, which doesn't happen in the winky 😂. For girls, you can actually zoom I and see three pale lines - the hollows of the rectum, vagina then urethra. I was really amazed when the sonographer showed me this as I had just assumed they either saw a winky or didnt and therefore could be mistaken if the winky was hiding 🤦🏻♀️
I'm afraid I can't post pics of the two gender scans as we only had nhs ones and they didn't give us pics of the gender reveal angles, only the usual peanut shaped whole baby pics
That’s how my baby girl 18 week private scan looks. Not sure exactly how you could make the difference but definitely the sonographer knew and it’s also been confirmed at my 20 week appointment with the hospital
