Am I pregnant?

Bit of an odd one... I did an early pregnancy test on Friday and it showed a positive result. I’ve had some slight spotting (red rather than pink) but I have very heavy periods and vaguely remember spotting with my first. I am however a MASSIVE worrier so to make sure I didn’t dream my positive result I did another test... negative. I’ve done a few more including an early result one. All negative. Yet no further bleeding and no period. What is going on??

If you're having negatives tests then you may have had a chemical pregnancy, this is like a really early miscarriage where your hormone levels rasie and fall very quickly. If your period doesn't come it might be worth testing again in a week or so and see what result you get. Good luck x

I’m in a similar situation as you hun, I had multiple faint positive lines on my tests, then I had a bleed stopped after a day or so, then took another test got another faint positive line, then I bled and it was brown but literally a tiny bit of blood, I’m going to test again to make double sure. Hope you get the answers you’re looking for x

I had the same thing, one faint positive and the negatives for a whole week. After that i got three positives. You never know, your hormone levels might just be very low at this early stage, my first test most likely showed positive because my urine sample was very concentrated and I hadn’t drank much water up until that point of the day. Thanks all, I assume I had what was a chemical miscarriage a couple of days after my post. I’ve had 1 ectopic and 1 successful pregnancy in the past so fingers crossed for another try. Thank you all x

Hi, I’ve had something very similar. Had 2 positive tests a week & a half ago, did another one today (my urine was pretty diluted as I’ve been drinking a lot of water) & came back negative. Hoping hydration is the reason!

Going to do another tomorrow AM to check x
