Hi, I did a Tesco’s pregnancy test and it was negative I threw it away. A few hours later it was a dark thick blue positive. The top photo is my most recent tests whereby a faint line barely visible was there within the 3 min window and then developed over an hour to what you can see now.
Clear blue has been negative... help please never been pregnant before or had a positive x
Have you tried a digital?
If a line was there on the window, it would mean a positive test. So if you've done a test and got a positive in the test window, your pregnant, congratulations 😁
Anything outside the window could just be an evaporation line, so you should just ignore them x
At what week did you test ? You might want to get one at atleast 6 weeks where you have enough hcg to be detected. And then if its a big fat positive then Super

I think I used the same test – and it says to ignore any result over a certain amount of time (was it 10 minutes or something?) so I’d definitely ignore anything over the actual window of time they give you, as it wouldn’t be accurate.
But if there’s even a faint line in that window, within the 3 minutes, I think that’s a positive. I’d probably do what Smartsuki says and wait until week 6. I did two tests, a week apart, just to be sure.

Thank you for your comments. Yes the clear cross came up outside the 10 mins but I’ve used this test for 5 years and never had them come up like this... I also thought evap lines wouldn’t be blue and thick?
I think I am really early as the line is so faint and barely visible at first and not coming up on clear blue tests. I will wait a couple weeks however not knowing for certain is killing me!! X

I was in your exact shoes with the exact same brand. Never had a false positive ever, took a digital straight after and it said not pregnant. Took another digital 4 days later and it said pregnant 2-3 x
Hi Kate, thank you so much for messaging you’ve made me feel as though I am not mad. I keep telling my partner that I have never had a positive regardless of whether it was after the time limit or not! So something must be happening. I will wait and do a digital In a weeks time. Xx
Literally same, had never even had the tiniest line and then this showed up and everyone kept telling me it was dye run. I took it at 12dpo and got a faint positive on a cheapie at 14dpo and then the digital at 16dpo, then a cheapie every day til i drove myself insane 😂
It’s so frustrating isn’t it! And then reading everywhere that it can’t possible be a positive and is an evap line. I am so happy for you! Yes same here I’m in Tesco’s every night at 9pm as I convinced myself all day that I will not test for a week and then cave 😂 still faint positives tho on the cheap tests!! So god knows time will tell!
Thats a good sign! I misread the pregnancy tests like an ovulation test and didn't think it was positive until the lines were the same colour 😂 the lines on the tesco tests are weird tho because they're off centre and darker on one side haha x
😂😂😂😂 oh bless you!! Yes they are really strange like a strong dark thin line that spreads out... now to try and be patient 🤦♀️ how far along are you? Or have you had the baby already? X
I would advise getting a FRER test as they are much more sensitive and the digitalis aren’t great when early on either as they need quite a lot of HCG before they would display a positive.

Hi Carlie, it looks positive to me - congratulations 😊 also just to add ive always heard that pink dye tests are best as less likely to give an evap line (ive always used pink dye ones myself so not experienced an evap line) x
Thank you. These were out of the time limit as didn’t see a line until after apart from the top one which was an extremely faint line. I’ve ordered a pink dye test so will see how it goes! Thanks x
Try a first response test, they’re a lot more sensitive at detecting a positive!xx
Just to update this post as I know how frustrating it is when there isn’t an update - I did a clear blue this morning and it was negative. I think the early detection clear blue would have picked a pregnancy up by now as it’s been over 7 days since first faint positive.
