I forgot to discuss this at my midwife appt last week... does everyone get Braxton hicks? If so when did you get them? And what exactly does it feel like? I'm 27 weeks tomorrow and worried that if/when I do get them I'm going to freak out! I'm a FTM, have anxiety, also have had a loss after going through IVF last year. So yes I worry about everything!
Any advice/experience would be much appreciated xx

Never got Braxton Hicks with my previous two. Braxton Hicks are basically contractions ... Mini versions of the body getting ready. The difference is that they don't progress and stay the same whereas real contractions get stronger. If you're not sure which they are you can call maternity triage
Thanks for your reply, I read about what they are I just pray I dont get them as I know I will freak out! Lol. Good to hear not everyone gets them I hope I'm one of them 😊 xx
Hey Niki .How you doing darling?? Not everyone gets braxton hicks love so don’t be worrying .Iv you do think your having them contact your midwife .Your gonna be fine your Ofer the half way mark and I can’t wait to see that baby news . Stay safe and take care xxxx
Hey hun I'm doing good thank you. Getting more massive by the day now it feels like lol. And yes time seems to be dragging now I just cant wait for him to arrive and safely! The worry never leaves after a loss but feeling him kicking constantly definately helps! 😊💙 how are you doing? 😘 xxx
With mine it felt like the baby turning and pushing really hard but kind of all over the bump, and the bump felt a bit more rigid. They weren't painful and not intense enough to worry that something was happening - until near the end, when a couple of times I thought things were getting started (they weren't, she had to be evicted via c section at 40+6!!)
My Braxton Hicks felt like my tummy went very tight, then would soften again. I guess from watching TV I thought Braxton Hicks would make me think I was on labour but mine were never that powerful or intense, just a bit uncomfortable.
