Any bleeding and you should contact your midwife or maternity hospital, whichever you have a 24 hour number for.

Hi Sofia, I had a small bleed at 23 weeks and then on and off from 32 weeks until my son was born. I went in everytime to be checked so I would call your maternity hospital so they can advice you. There was never any explanation for my bleeding and I'm sure it is nothing but it's always better to get these things checked out x

I also had bleeding at about 30 weeks. I contacted the midwives and they asked me to go and get checked. The babies heart rate was monitored and I was examined, they didn't know what it was but all was fine. Better to be checked out though.

I bled a little at 34 weeks because my partner and I had some rough rolling in the hay the day before and irritated my cervix. But I know that's what caused it - so slightly different circumstances!

It’s worth to call your hospital and have a scan to rule out where the bleed is coming from. It could be completely nothing but sometimes can indicate a very serious underlying condition like placenta previa. All the best xx
