Bottle feeding- refusing feeds and being fussy

Consistently for a few weeks now by baby (now 7 weeks) was taking 4oz at every feed pretty much, and suddenly these last few days he's started fussing really badly when feeding, it's a struggle to get him to take even 2 or 3oz, except for one feed in the day where he will take 5oz.

He's going longer between feeds now too, so has dropped from 7 to 6 feeds a day.

He's also started completely screaming and refusing his bottle entirely before bed at like 6-6:30, and it's a struggle to even force 1oz down him.

I've tried to coax him to drink more, I've tried little and often, and I've even tried to go back to 4oz 7 times a day to see if that was the issue, none of which have worked. I'm so bamboozled and just worried he's not getting enough milk to properly fill him and help him grow, and I'm also super confused by the 6pm feed being completely refused (he will root for the bottle but not latch to it and scream, which he will do repeatedly but just never suck)

I am going to ask the health visitors for advice but can't until Tues with it being bank holiday and I'm stressing now haha

Btw I've tried burping pre feed to see if he has gas or discomfort, with no luck

This sounds similar to a nursing strike, la leche league has lots of information on it in relation to breastfeeding, but it must be similar with bottle feeding laleche.org.uk/nursing-stri... good luck xx

Have you had a peek in his mouth? Any white dots? He could have oral thrush our little girl had this once and it made her mouth sore... easily solved with some medicine off the doctors. X
