12 week screening test result

Hi I had 12 week scan last Friday.

If it comes with high risk, do they inform you by phone or mail?

I’m away for a week from tomorrow. Just unsettling that I cant find out the results sooner. (I still don’t get why it normally takes 2 weeks. Feels too long)

Hi,

They phone you if it’s high risk, or write if it’s low risk. At least that’s what my hospital does. Also, I was told if it’s high risk you’ll find out within a couple of days but low takes 2 weeks for the letter to come through, so no news is good news! Good luck xx

This is a relief. I was worried in case I miss a letter tomorrow or next week finding out the result too?! Late.

Hi sweets, my little came back high risk for down syndrome. Had the test done on the Wednesday I think and they phoned me friday morning to let me know x

That was quick. I was thinking what if Royal mail loses it. I should stop worrying so much. But it’s very difficult as a first mum to be 🤔

If results are abnormal they will call, if they are normal they will send a letter. FTM here too, don't worry though until there is something to worry about

Hello, my letter took nearly a month to reach me. I was advised in hospital should the readings be high that i’ll have a call x

Hi mine came in a letter with in 4 days saying im low risk. They phone if it's high risk.

Did you check for your results online on patients know best. I had a regular blood test, the results came in the next evening but the doctor dint call me for 10 days ... have a look
