Positive pregnancy test and then a negative result using a different brand the next day.

I have been taking weekly tests as advised by my doctor after suspecting being pregnant at the very early stages. I have waited until the week where it should show, having had faint lines I finally got a fairly strong positive - see image. However, I have since done a Clear Blue weeks test the day after and it says not pregnant. Has anyone else had this?

I am waiting to hear from the midwife for a telephone appointment in over a week's time but this has put a little doubt in my mind.

Any thoughts are welcome! Thank you x

Hi! Clear blue can be notorious for giving false negatives. My advice would be to get a First Response test or another pink dye test. It is very encouraging that you have had positives. I would be inclined to trust those results. Was the Clear Blue a digital test by any chance?

Hay digital tests can take longer to show as positive I would either do another first response or early clear blue test as these are really sensitive and can pick up HCG as low as 6.5 Leave the digital for a few more days to ensure enough HCG as these require around 50HCG. However a positive is a positive congratulations x

This happened to me also, I took a cheap test and got a positive and then to be sure I bought a digital test (Clear blue) and it said not pregnant, I was very confused. I then purchased first response from amazon and got a positive again, I am nearly 28 weeks pregnant now.
