Morning sickness

I’m a bit worried. I’m 7 weeks pregnant and wasn’t really getting any symptoms up until week 6. I’ve been getting mild cramps, tiredness, bloated. However I’ve noticed I only get nauseas in the mornings which lasts until 1-2pm. I also noticed I vomit in the morning but feel a lot better straight after I've thrown up? Is this morning sickness or could it be a stomach bug/another problem? From what I’ve read online morning sickness lasts even after you vomit? Please share if you’ve gone through the same thing x

Hi Zahm

It is perfectly normal to feel ok once you've been sick or even to only feel/be sick in the morning.

Its important to remember everyone's experiences are different, personally I suffered with nausea & sickness from weeks 7-18 - I had maybe 2 days of feeling great but then it would come back again. I've got friends that have had no nausea/sickness whatsoever (this would worry me 🙈) but then know some people who have morning sickness but will then eat a full fry up breakfast.

Try not to worry if it's just a little, I would say embrace it as it can surprise you when you least expect it. I'm now 24 weeks but still get the odd day of feeling sick.

Mild cramps isn't unusual as it's your body adjusting to all the changes & the tiredness should ease off come your 2nd trimester.

I hope this helps x

Ha. That was me. I had morning sickness that was relieved by eating everything and anything. I had two breakfasts for a long time. Still am and my little one is 14 weeks.
