I am very early on in pregnancy and like to exercise and keep fit. Just wondered if it’s still safe to use resistance band and also do sit ups etc? Does anyone know of any YouTubes video’s etc to watch?

Hey you should be fine to do anything you were doing before that isn’t an extreme sport, I did kettlebell workouts and spinning in my pregnancy up to 35 weeks. On YouTube there is a channel called body fit by Amy which has some good pregnancy workouts xx
Hi! I am in week 18 and still weight lifting with dumbbells, resistance bands and body weight 5x per week. I would avoid sit ups, exercises with barbells, and any exercise that requires you to be on flat on your back, flat chess press for example, just switch it for incline.
Do not push yourself too hard, I keep my heart rate below 160, I am 31. Always listen to your body, If it feels uncomfortable in your tummy then rest.
I would recommend you contacting your GP if in doubt and probably follow some exercises that are targeted for pregnant woman. Kayla Itsines have good programs for pregnant ladies. Also she has some good postpartum. I am using a PT as I’ve been working for him for a year now, but he recommended Kayla’s exercises.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
