hi all booked a covid19 test this morning but haven't received confirmation yet? What are other peoples experiences with this how long does it usually take x

Hi, I had it yesterday - something that massively helped me was asking not to see the swabs before she tested me, so I couldn’t see the length. It’s really really quick, if you just keep nice and still and relaxed. I would just say it was a tad uncomfortable, but perfectly manageable :) x

I was told it would take 10 mins, so I left my 9 week old with my parents, saying that I'd be back in an hour, but it actually took 4 hours (3 hours queuing plus travel)! So I would recommend taking water and snacks, go to the loo before you queue, and arrange for someone to potentially look after your little one(s). I am exclusively breastfeeding, so being gone for 4 hours I had to ask for my parents to give my boy his first bottle.
