My baby is not latching properly, am expressing milk using electric breast pump,every day 4 times am expressing, whenever I express am getting only 30ml of milk, when I wake up in the morning my breast is so heavy and painful.is there anyway to relieve my pain

It’s because of engorgement or some other reason, have no idea.

If you're expressing you'll need to pump as much as baby would feed in a day. This means also pumping during the night when baby would feed as this increases your supply for the following day.

The only way you'll increase your supply is by removing milk more regularly, you could also try power pumping up increase your supply much like baby would cluster feed when they want to up your supply.

I second the Kelly mum website. Great resources and some clips on how to improve latch. I was exclusively bf for a year and never could get more than 30ml...

I was rubbish using a pump. Have you tried hand expressing?

Newborns normally fed very often every one to two hours, so you need to pump more than 4 times a day if you're wanting to increase supply at first and night time pumps are actually really important.
