Small amount of bleeding in third trimester

I have had a small amount of bleeding at 14, 16 and 29 weeks. They think it’s a cervical ectropian or my low lying placenta. Has anyone else bled small amounts throughout their pregnancy? It starts as mucusy red discharge and sometimes with a small clot then just old dry blood. They don’t seem to identify the cause each time as it stops after a few hours so they just send me home.

Hi, I had similar, a small bleed at 23 weeks, then several between 32 and 36 weeks that would stop after a few hours.I also had a bright red bleed when I went into labour. It's so scary every time you see blood I used to get in such a state but my little boy is now a healthy 10 month old. I had two extra scans and they could never say a definate reason, was told baby could have been irritating my cervix and that some women just bleed throughout pregnancy x

Many thanks for taking the time to reply. I was also told it must be my cervix as every time they examine me my notes say my cervix is closed. I find it quite draining going to the maternity ward triage every time and especially now with covid risk. How lovely a little boy. I’m also having a boy :) x
