Hi all, I’m currently 37 weeks and suffering from terrible heartburn. Oh gosh it hurts 😂, I haven’t really been taking anything for it. Just avoiding spicy food (which might I add, it doesn’t work), avoiding eating late. But I’m still dying lol 🙈. How did you guys cope with it? X

Heartburn 😷
Hi, Gaviscon helped me and cold drinks. Good luck...x
I pop rennies like no bodies business... apparently gaviscon is much better but I cant stand the taste! Xx
Love heart and refreshers sweets were my life saver, so simple but they work!
I was living off renitidine towards the end, but they've pulled that now!! 😱 Was also guzzling gaviscon (supermarket own brand actually) all day long which also helped. It's horrible isn't it ☹️ it stopped the second my son was born mind you. Good luck, you're nearly there!! 😍 Xx
Gaviscon helped and also I would recommend eating bananas. A friend of mine told me it helped her and it did me too!
I understand just how uncomfortable this is 😣 At first I asked my doctor about Ranitidine tablets but apparently they have been recalled due to an ingredient now thought to cause cancer.
I found the heartburn a lot more manageable if I kept my food portions tiny, stopped having any food after about 7 or 7.30 pm, and took Gaviscon double action liquid after meals and before bed. Am due this week so hopefully the reflux will disappear afterwards! I hope these tips help you too x
Gaviscon. A friend recommended Apple cider vinegar too but I didn’t try it x
I used to chug Gaviscon before and after every meal and in between have so many Rennie’s. Luckily it stopped after a few weeks
Thank you all for the lovely advise. I’ve stopped being stubborn and I’ve dragged myself to the shops for some gaviscon 🙏🏾. Potentially 3 more weeks left of it all xx
I was swigging gaviscon from the bottleneck by the end. Awful tasting stuff, but it was like putting aftersun from the fridge on sunburn for my gut! Good luck hun, it’ll disappear as soon as baby arrives. Xxx
Try the Gaviscon double action tablets. Expensive but oh so worth it!
Hi!
I had to see the GP due to severe heart burn.... used to make me throw up.
Try sleeping more upright.
Try seeing your GP they gave me ranitidine
I used gaviscon, kept in my bedroom too as always needed some during the night and it would keep me awake.
