Fungal infection around c section wound?

Hi guys,

Just wondered if anyone else had suffered with a fungal infection around their c section wound? I went to gp again today after going the past few weeks since my c section 5 weeks ago because my wound didn’t feel right and they finally gave me some cream to put on it and see how I get on. They have also swabbed it but said there is definitely a fungal infection around it.

Just want to see if others have experienced it and what happened with you?

Xxx

Aw glad it soon clears up! Thankyou! I’d never heard of it before! So hard to keep dry under the way my belly folds down! Xx

Yeah it is really hard, I had the same problem! But once the infection cleared it was easier to keep dry!! My little one is 14 weeks now and it’s absolutely fine! Xxx

Try to keep it dry at all times (after you’ve finished the course of cream). Mine is under a fold of belly now and I found it hard to keep it dry so I wipe it with a baby wipe every time I use the bathroom and then put clean folded tissue on it. I was so worried I’d get moist dermatitis but so far so good 🤞🏻 xx

thanks lovely! Omg it’s so hard to keep dry where the belly fold is, isn’t it?! I’ve been dabbing with clean tissue after I use the bathroom but I’ve still managed to get it! It’s blood sore xxx

I leave my tissue in place 24/7. It’s a pain having to keep changing it but it’s dry and clean! xx
