Hi ladies... just wondered if anyone has had back to work meetings etc... anyone put in a flexible working requests? How did your employer go about it? I was literally told today that I could have an alternative role which means bing demoted just because I asked to have 1 day off and finish an hour earlier so that I could collect my some from nursery š¬š¬š¬ and they didnāt record it on the minutes of the meetingš¬š¬

This sounds all too familiar. I had to go to HR for a similar situation. It was very stressful but worked out in the end. Hope yours does too!
Oooh thatās a bit cheeky. Iād ask for the confirmation of the new role they have offered you in an email and ask for a reply in an email and copy in HR. You should make sure everything is documented as employers have a tendency to back track in decisions and conversations saying they never happened. Hopefully it will all work out OK.
I am allowed flexible working but it has to fit with āBusiness needsā whatever that means! However this will be at my current band for current pay pro rata. I havenāt submitted my flexi pattern yet as iām only 26 weeks and will take 9 months off, but talking to others that have tried they do feel quite bullied during the process and some have even left. I donāt want yo do that as iāve been in my job 16 years and iām on for a very decent pension š
Good luck!
