Hi ladies... just wondered if anyone has had back to work meetings etc... anyone put in a flexible working requests? How did your employer go about it? I was literally told today that I could have an alternative role which means bing demoted just because I asked to have 1 day off and finish an hour earlier so that I could collect my some from nursery šŸ˜¬šŸ˜¬šŸ˜¬ and they didnā€™t record it on the minutes of the meetingšŸ˜¬šŸ˜¬

This sounds all too familiar. I had to go to HR for a similar situation. It was very stressful but worked out in the end. Hope yours does too!

Itā€™s so unfair... they canā€™t penalise women just because theyā€™ve become a mum.šŸ˜¬ glad it all worked out in the end for you xx

Oooh thatā€™s a bit cheeky. Iā€™d ask for the confirmation of the new role they have offered you in an email and ask for a reply in an email and copy in HR. You should make sure everything is documented as employers have a tendency to back track in decisions and conversations saying they never happened. Hopefully it will all work out OK.

I am allowed flexible working but it has to fit with ā€˜Business needsā€™ whatever that means! However this will be at my current band for current pay pro rata. I havenā€™t submitted my flexi pattern yet as iā€™m only 26 weeks and will take 9 months off, but talking to others that have tried they do feel quite bullied during the process and some have even left. I donā€™t want yo do that as iā€™ve been in my job 16 years and iā€™m on for a very decent pension šŸ˜‚

Good luck!

Yes very cheeky. They will send me the notes from the meeting and I do have the chance to make any changes which I will. Iā€™m not going to be bullied and will revert to hr if needed...šŸ˜Š
