Christmas

I am so excited for Christmas, it is my favourite time of year and even more so this year. Our LG will be 9 1/2 months at Christmas, I know she won’t understand, but she will enjoy it so much, she is so knowing and wants to know what’s going on around her.

What did you all get your babies on their 1st Christmas??

I’m not going mad, as she’s only little still and I know family members will want too get her stuff. I was thinking of getting her, a pop up ball pit (I’ve seen a really cute girly one), clothes. I’m doing a Christmas Eve box, where she will have pyjamas, book, Christmas teddy.

Ours was only 8 weeks old last year so a few clothes and baby toys. This year we’ll get her some age appropriate stuff on her Birthday (start of November) and then for Christmas some toys etc for 18months upwards since otherwise she’ll have to wait almost a year for more new stuff 😊 We’re off to the toy store on Sunday to get some ideas, I already have a xylophone and a puppet bird (our baby sensory class had one and she loved it). Last year was so hard with an unsettled newborn due to her milk allergy but like you I’m really looking forward to this year, she’ll be so interactive and it’ll be great fun to watch.

I think the ball pit is a good one, my little girl is loving hers. As yours will be moving soon around that age a baby walker (the type they push not sit in)? She’s also enjoying turning the pages of books and shaking some homemade maracas I made from plastic bottles. Ones filled with pine cones and the other some bells, she’s not so fussed on the one I filled with confetti, I think she likes the sounds. I’m interested to see what others are getting their little ones 😊 x

Yes a walker is a good one, I did mention that 2 my parents, so hopefully they will be getting that. It’s so difficult, as it’s they first Christmas and you want to spoil them. Her birthday is 10 weeks after Christmas so il like, I don’t want too get her too much as I can save things back for her birthday.

I can’t believe my LG will be 7 months in 3 days, wish time would slow down xx

Time definately needs to slow down, mines 11 months and I’m back at work 😱😢 before I know it we’ll be celebrating her first birthday! I certainly spoil her as it is there probably isn’t much left to buy and we’ve run out of space 😂 x

We went mad lol. We got things like a walker, feely books, little tikes house thing, mini kitchen, wooden toys, beat belle, my first Christmas frame, 2018 teddy bear, collectible coin from royal mint, clothes and probably loads more I can’t remember 🙈. I don’t regret it though as she’s so special to us xx

I can’t wait to buy my 1st Christmas bits, my amazon basket is full up of bits lol. I’ve seen so many Christmas outfits.

I know she’s going to be spoilt by my family, so that’s why i don’t want too go super mad, but still want too go mad.

I’m doing Father Christmases footprints, reindeer poo, leaving food and drink out for them 😂😂 my husband is like, she’s not going too know, I turn too him and say, but I do. xx

I did exactly the same and did the foot prints etc 😂😂 there will be pictures as proof. I absolutely love Christmas and I want her to love it too. I bought her loads of outfits last year but I think I’ll tone it down this year on the outfits. We are going to Disneyland Paris a couple of weeks before Christmas this year and can’t wait!! Xx

This made me smile... ahh that’s so lovely.. I’d love to go over board too but my flat is quite small so don’t have much space for storage... can’t wait until we move. Your little girl is soo lucky to have you.... but the question is.... what will you do this year 😂😂

in reply todestiny121

We don’t have much storage too as in a flat and I really did panic on Christmas Eve when I saw how much we got her 😂 plus everyone else’s stuff. Worked out ok though (not sure how). I will tone it down this year though. We’ve already bought tickets to see peppa pig in theatre so that will be a pressie and as we are going to Disneyland I’ll probably get some Disney kind of stuff xx

I’ve already got a little tykes slide cube and water table for next summer 😬 Did however get it second hand for cheap, it was hard not too 😂 We’ll have to be careful how much we get as we are already running out of room for her toys! 😊 x

Time needs to surely slow down. Before when people said they grow so fast I just thought that’s what everyone says... now I’m a mum I understand lol my lb is 7 months on the 17th of this month. He’s rolling ove, trying to pull himself up and babbling all of the time. I just want him to stay small a bit longer 😢😢

Not sure what to put in his Xmas eve tbh haven’t a clue... maybe some Christmas pjs.. a teddy and some other bits... will be nice to see some other ideas on here though 😘

Ah 11 days difference, our LG is rolling all over the place, babbling away and has just started to get onto her knees. I try and cuddle her like a newborn, but she doesn’t have it anymore 😥

Yea it would be great, to know what others have put in Christmas Eve boxes xx
