Hello. My daughter is 5 months. In the last couple of weeks she gets really upset when other people hold her or even say hello to her sometimes. But my main issue is in the evening she gets herself so wound up when her father has her. She's fine during the day and he even gets her up and feeds her on a Sunday with no issues and they'll sit together nicely. I try and let her cry it out with him but they both get stressed and he gives her back. Hes now getting reluctant to have her in the evening if I ask because he knows she'll just cry and gets so upset she chokes. Is there a way to get them to be fine in the evening? I'm going on a night out in December so I'm hoping she settles by then. Xx

Baby won't settle at night for her dad
Hi. At about 5-6 months some babies go through a stage of being really clingy with you and they develop stranger danger, meaning they become a lot more reserved around new people and can even do it around close family. They should move past it in a month or so. Hope this helps x
I think this is normal. My hubby got upset thinking she didn’t want him but it’s just a phase. She’s back to doing it now at 18 months but it won’t last long x
Thank you for your reply. I think my partner is getting upset about it as he's getting frustrated with her over it and when she smiles at him when I get her back I think it annoys him a little. Fingers crossed this passes quickly x
Aw bless him. It will pass. My LG started talking a while ago and she said daddy straight away but has only just said mummy at 19 months!! My hubby was very smug about that so I’m sure he’ll get his own back lol xx
