I need advice

I'm 30 weeks and 5 days pregnant and for the past 12 hours I've had severe back pain and sharp electric like pain 'downstairs' it's now to the point I have to stop mid whatever I'm doing. Any advice

It might be nothing just one of those days when you pregnant where the baby might just be in a wonky position and pushing into some nerve etc but to be sure I would call hospital to see what their advise is, just to be sure

I'm not sure how helpful this is but I'm almost 35 weeks and I've had the odd sharp shooting pain down low a few times. Really took me by surprise. I just assumed the baby might be sitting or kicking in an awkward position. I've never followed it up, but perhaps that's a good idea.

Ooo bless you, sounds like what is known between mums as either lightning crotch or the eloquently put "fanny daggers" and it basically is baby giving you a lovely kick in your lady parts from the inside 😬

Could be spd/pgp I get both the back ache which spreads to my legs and the pains downstairs which at times travel upto lower abdomen. First time it happened I went to triage as it was painful and had no idea what it was.

I would recommend talking to your midwife or ringing triage if its painful and its worrying you, always better to get checked over.
