Lump of swelling under bump, has anyone seen this before?

Hi everyone

I'm currently 39+3 weeks, I've had a wonderful pregnancy, all test results have always come back perfect. My baby will be big, but everyone in my family has big babies (I was nearly 11lb). But during the heatwave last week I developed a load of swelling, my blood pressure is still in the ideal range and no protein in urine, so it's not preeclampsia. I'm mostly swollen in the usual places, feet, lower legs and fingers. But I also developed a mass of swelling that hangs below my bump. It's definitely swelling because it pits, it isn't red or irritated in anyway. The midwife said she had never seen it before but didn't seem concerned, just said to keep an eye on it. The swelling has gotten slightly bigger since then, but everything else is still great so I cannot see any reason why this would be happening.

Just to add I have always been more prone to swelling than others due to a mild connective tissue disorder.

Has anyone ever seen this before? I'm worried it won't go away after birth because it is really ugly!

Sorry not had the swelling under bump but had lots every where in last few weeks so much so that I lost a stone in weight in five days after having baby which was all fluid!!!

Not had swelling on my bump either, but got a lump behind my ear during the heatwave. I went to the gp to get it checked and turns out it's a swollen lymph note. As it's got cooler again it's gotten slightly smaller. If you're concerned see a gp, also this is totally random advice but have you tried cooling the swelling down, maybe with some cold towels and ice pack, see if it's just the heat messing with our bodies.
