Tips for travelling with 9 week old. How do you sterilise bottles when away if your flying and can’t take anything with you? Any other tips for flying and being away with little one really appreciated. Thanks in advance xx

The mam bottles are really good to take away as you sterilise them in the microwave xx

I flew to Ireland with my baby when he was 8 weeks, I just took Milton tablets and cold sterilised everything. I gave my little boy a feed for take off and we never had any problems with his ears x

Milton sterilising fluid x

I used a mixture of milton sterlising tablets and I got a bag that you use in the microwave but you can only do one bottle at a time. I took 2 bottles filled with water in bottle warmers. You are allowed liquid when it's for a baby. I then had 2 spare bottles and got them filled with hot water on the plane. I fed my baby on take off as helped with ear popping and luckily the noise of the plane engine kept him sleeping most of the flight x

I breastfeed so I don’t have to take bottles etc so not sure about that, but what I would really recommend to make life easier is a sling! Get a comfortable baby carrier so you’ve got both hands free at the airport. This helps so much. The ergo360 with newborn insert or a close Caboo are good for this age.

If you are checking a large type pram into the hold, make sure the wheels are either attached securely maybe with an extra tie or something or in a bag attached - I’ve seen someone’s expensive pram wheel rolling off down the luggage belt before!

Spare change of clothes for you and your travelling partner, not just baby - Incase any poo explosions on board! ;)
