Little girl runs off as I take her nappy off to another room and pees on the floor, seems to be hiding it. Crouches down in a sit and hover position to poop. Will demand a completely dry nappy for bed even if changed only an hour ago and only a tiny bit damp. We have a potty waiting in the bathroom but no idea where to start, I’ve read potty training for girls and gentle potty training but still don't understand it?!

15 months potty train?
Sounds she is about to start about potty, but 15 months sounds super early.
I’ve trained my boy at 23months as he was too difficult to change the nappies. If you decide to train your girl you need be ready yourself pull down nappies completely for the day,no matter what not getting back to nappies! Wear them only for nap time and nights -my trick for sleeping, reduce liquid intake and wear nappies over the pants, very tricky but my son soon not needed nappies for nights and it was very natural for him to sleep without nappies too hardly any accidents.
This all potty training might be hard at first but is worth it in the end, but parents carers must put some time aside for it, smaller baby might require more time but not needed. Important is to be consequent and not get back to nappies if started because this will confuse a kid, that is why is worth thinking about right time to start.
Good luck xxx
Sounds like my little boy he loves to run around naked but he wees everywhere, except the potty!
Gentle Potty Training would probably suggest waiting until she's a bit older. I think it said around 2. Don't stress yourself out if she's not ready, you'll have more luck if you wait until she is.
My sisters kids were just about 12 months old when she potty trained them, she lives in a country where most kids are potty trained around this age, so it can definitely be done.
My main tip would be to pop her on the potty every time you can tell she needs to go. Eg when she starts squatting
I would not hesitate and introduce potty and see how interested she is . Maybe she's ready.
Where I come from, babies (such as myself and my sisters) were very clean babies- we started to show signs to our mum about Nr2 as early as 9 months.
I started to put my boy on the potty early too- before age of one as I knew that in the mornings he has his milk and then poo. So every morning he would have a poo on the potty. Untill he learned to walk at 11 months... He would just refuse to sit- he's super active child.
Good luck!
