Hello everyone, I am 34 weeks and 1 day pregnant, went for my ultrasound today and was told my amniotic fluid was high at 95mm (9.5cm) which shouldn’t be more than 80mm (8cm) read about it online but different charts were saying different things, some said it was okay, some said it was not, others said (8-18) is okay, which I don’t understand. I’m a lil bit worried as I don’t want any complications whatsoever on myself or baby. Would appreciate if anyone can explain better, thanks.

Why didn't the midwife explain the results to you? Or did you ask the midwife to explain?
I think talking to your midwife would be more beneficial rather than searching online for the answer. They are the experts.
I’d ask your midwife to explain, it should say on the report that they printed what the normal limits are for you, as they produce all your charts and reports going off your personal information, for example mine says between 2 and 10cm, and at 36+3 my AFI was 7.63cm. Because everything is specifically targeted to your own measurements the general average that you’d find online isn’t good to go off. Your midwife should explain the results of the scan to you after every scan, but when they’re busy they can sometimes rush and skip over things, but if they were concerned or something was abnormal they wouldn’t have let you leave x
Thank you @laurafig and nin21996 for your responses, will be seeing my midwife today luckily in an hour and I’d ask her to explain in details, as I couldn’t sleep well last night, was so bothered. Thanks again and will let you ladies know what she says, cheers
I’m 30 weeks and mine is high too. I had GTT and torch test to rule anything out last week and all came back normal. I’m consultant led and at the moment they don’t seem overly concerned.. xx
I was with my midwife yesterday and she said it wasn’t supposed to be more than 80mm, in my case. She wants me to come in for another scan in 2 weeks in which if the AFI is still high, I’d have to be induced to be on safer side
