Hey everyone, so myself and my partner are trying for a baby. I’ve done a test yesterday and today both negative (clear blue). Still no period. With my son I used clear blue it didn’t show with that either. What do I do now please??

Hi There,
Personally I would never recommend using clear blue to detect pregnancy. Not even the 'early detection' test they have. Additional to this most doctors would also reccomend to not waste money on clear blue as they are expensive and not always reliable for those testing in the early potential stages.
As you are probably aware all tests have different sensitivity levels. Clear blue can detect pregnancy as early as 25mul which is the hormone measurement anything slightly less would show as negative.
I took a clear blue test 3 days after my expected period which I missed, this came back negative. I also at the same time did a cheap test with the same early morning urine (I swear by testing early morning urine) came back positive. My blood test 2 days later confirmed that my HCG Levels were 343mul and I was most definetly pregnant. Please consider what I mentioned at clear blue so called testing at 25mul when the early pregnancy clear blue test came back negative when my blood test showed I had 5 times more hcg than required to test using a clear blue for pregnancy.
Honestly my best advice would be is look for a 6 day before youre missed period test from asda or any local shop. There usually about £1. If this is negative test again using early morning urine 2 weeks later.
If you're period still hasn't come by then and the tests are negative seek medical advice from a GP or other service.
Another good test which tests at 6.9mul (a lot less than the 25mul from clear blue) is First response early detection. This can pick up early early pregnancy in more cases than clear blue.
Best wishes
