I missed morning sickness completely until week 10. Thought I’d completely skipped it but didn’t get that lucky. The only issue is, I have the BIGGEST phobia of being sick. So, every time I’m sick, I cry, think I’m gonna die, and get panic attacks. I know that probably sounds a bit extreme but it’s been a phobia of mine for years.
I just wondered if anyone else has been in this position and how they’ve dealt with it? I’m almost 12 weeks and I’m still struggling with sickness.

there is a sickness band you can get and thats meant to be better than tablets but I cant remember what its called... if I remember whats its called I will let you know... when I had bad sickness I had tablets and they took a couple of days to kick in... I hope they kick in for you soon and hope you start feeling better soon.... just think of the bundle of joy you will have at the end xxx
I was sick for probably about 12 weeks in total and it was awful. I also fear being sick and it does leave you pretty isolated.
My dr gave me some medication which wore off quickly and started being sick. But go back because there are many and they will help you find one that suits you.
The whole experience can be quite a psychological rollercoaster and you just need to find ways that can be minimise.
This is not necessarily something to advice and sorry this is TMI but I feared being sick the most when I had eaten enough food to bring up. I think I got in to a weird pattern of being sick when it was just the acid, foam and bile before I ate anything substantial. I didn’t eat much tbh but I knew after the vomiting I could eat and be ok around mid day for a few hours before it started again.
There are seabands which didn’t help me massively but I also try acupuncture which did fend of the physical sickness for a couple of days at a time.
Your GP can definitely give you medication to help, which would then also help with your phobia. I can synpathise as I hate sick, being around sick people etc (heart rate increases and I feel so uneasy) so I think I have a slight phobia but certainly not as bad as yours x
Hopefully they will kick in soon, I know my nausea meds took 4 days for me to feel a lot better. If they don’t work in a week go back and try something else, keeping my 🤞🏻 for you x
I have been a bit more than this as mine had started during week 6. Until week 9 this nausea has got me to my wit's end but since I found an herbal formula "no to morning sickness tea" by maternitytea.com nausea vanished completely. this formula has done everything I was looking for.
Massive sympathy, I know this is a very real phobia so it must be awful for you. Could you afford hypnotherapy to help you get over your fear of sickness? As there’s no guarantee of it stopping at 12 weeks. Also I was really sick in labour because of the drugs I had so please do be prepared for that as well when you are thinking about birth preferences. Good luck.
