Okay, so normally I get signs that I’m coming on my period I.e pre cramps, mood swings and I go off food completely.
I was due on my period on the 3rd March, I didn’t come on at all or have signs. On the 5th March I had brown spotting when I wiped but not enough to use any femanine products.
I woke up on the 6th March with what seemed to be a heavy flow, bright red which is unusual for me anyway a few hours later it completely stopped. Later on in the evening I started to bleed ever so lightly, and it has continued to be on and off but light ever since.
I’ve looked at so many different websites trying to figure it out and all I’m coming up with is implantation bleeding, hormone problems, body getting ready for pregnancy or a light flow.
I’ve never had light periods and they are always of a darker colour, I am still not getting cramps or any normal monthly symptoms.
Friends have said I should wait a few days and test to see if I am or not?
I’m really confused has anyone ever been through this before??

Period flow can change and be a bit weird time to time but yeah take a test put your mind to rest either way.
My pregnancy was similar to this hun, I kept having brown spotting but I was on contraception, then I went drs for a blood test for something completely un related, I had a mass if bright red blood come out of me and I went back to gp, which then confirmed I was
How many months pregnant!
However my experience could be completely in related to yours.
I would definitely test in a few days, if you get negatives and are still worries I’d go to your gp, or use a clear blue digital test! I kept having negatives which was why I didn’t think I was pregnant! I took a Clear blue test after the GP said that thinking what the actual hell lol...
I have been on and off light for the last few days and my head is all over the place I havnt known what to do with myself. I have been advised by family and friends to test every few days see where that leads me and like you said if I’m still worried then go to the doctors. Thank you so much and congrats!!!xx
I know how it is hun, you do worry so much! And the hardest thing is not knowing, so you can’t actually get to grips with what the truth is!
But saying that hun I also had periods that were on and off and lasted for around 7-14 days, but then other months it was straight heavy for around 4-5 days.
All I do know hun is that it will get better! I know this sounds silly, (if you are trying get pregnant don’t listen to my next advice lol) but maybe you could get on a contraception that actually stops your periods, just thinking then you wouldn’t be in this worrying state hun. (since having my little one and knowing not having no more, I’m on the depo injection, but that’s because I got pregnant on the pill so I don’t trust it now lol)
Yes! Definitely! That’s great advice! As I said if your still worried and don’t have time go gp, I’d highly recommend the clear blue digital tests, I know they’re expensive but I’ve never had an inaccurate result! I’ve had so many negative cheap tests that I’d always save that money and get the clear blue but if you don’t want do that, your GP will take a blood sample and do it that way (I had blood test)
No worries hun and thank you! My little one 14 months now, Ray of sunshine she is!
If you do end up pregnant congratulations! But I hope you get the outcome you want hun
