I just wondered if anyone else has had problems with blocked nose/throat during pregnancy? Sometimes I feel like I’m so blocked I can’t breathe, even though I’m obviously breathing.
Is this normal or something I should be concerned about?
Any advice is appreciated!

I had this most of the way through my pregnancy and it only seemed at night. It drove me nuts lol. I didn’t bother finding anything to help but you could speak to your midwife xx
I think it is normal especially this time of the year, I am only 10 weeks and already fighting 2nd cold this pregnancy, as you can’t take any over the counter medicine it feels like you can’t ever get better
I think this is something called 'pregnancy rhinitis'. I'm 10 weeks, but at 6 weeks I suddenly got a really blocked nose and no other symptoms, so it didn't feel like a normal cold. I did some googling and this is what came up, it seemed to fit my symptoms anyway. It has eased off now for me but from what I've read it sounds like the kind of thing that can come and go. Probably good to check it out with your midwife anyway x
Congestion is a common side effect of pregnancy. Something to do with increased blood flow. I woke up with it pretty much every morning with my first pregnancy and I've had it now and then with my current pregnancy.
Don't be concerned! Hope it eases off for you soon.
My sis had something similar hers was a chest infection that got out of hand as she couldn't take medication due to being pregnant , due to this she had an early c section , keep nagging the doctors and telling them of your symptoms if it gets worse as she did they kept saying your body ell fight it will cope ' when it got out of hand the decided t do c section' '
In my pregnancy I did suffer some with breathing however a few deep breaths sorted me 'l, it was very hot summer mind u
